About the Artist
Thank you for viewing my work
I have been a representational painter for 30 years. I live in southern New Jersey on the Delaware River with my wife Michelle. Much of my work has been in response to living here well as working in center city Philadelphia where I had access to people for figurative paintings. I work primarily from a combination including en plein air, site studies and images in the studio.
I went to Penn State University and Tyler School of Art where I studied drawing, and graphic design. I have been a full time graphic designer for 34 years but I always had a love of representational painting. I have studied with various painters and teachers in the region and at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.
All of the work on the site are oil paintings on canvas, linen and museum board.
